Our Village Hall is in Church Road opposite The George public house, right in the centre of the village. Mrs Yda Richardson who at that time resided in the Manor House gave the Hall to the Parish in the 1920s. The Hall is owned and run by the Parish Council which employs the caretaker.
It is an impressive and intimate Victorian building in the heart of our community and considered to be the nicest Village Hall in North Somerset. The Hall is licensed for the sale of alcohol. It is available for a variety of activities including private functions and now has a more flexible space that can take between 80 and 100 people in the main Hall depending upon the use. You can see photographs here,
The removable flexible layout stage gives a larger useable floor area when a stage isn't required. There's a Sound System (download details here) with CD player and iPod connection, Wi-Fi, a Loop System for the hard of hearing and stage lighting. There's also a fixed Digital HR projector with an HDMI connection, wired into the sound system, with an electrically operated screen against the back wall. Behind the stage there's a large kitchen with full catering facilities for up to 100 people. Unfortunately we no longer have a dishwasher available. The John Butler Room is ideal for business meetings and seats up to 12 people. For more information have a look at the FAQs. The hire terms and conditions are shown here.
The Hall is an ideal venue for community events, family functions, children’s parties, fund-raising events, workshops, toddler groups, private and public meetings. Please book online here:
